In conducting research for this book I stumbled upon a fascinating man they called The Copper King of Butte Montana. Whilst in the middle of writing this book I found myself in Montana for an unrelated project. I went for a tour of a local historical mansion, and at the end of the tour I realized I was standing in the house of The Copper King himself, Marcus Daly!
